An environment for working with AI
CoAgnes
CoAgnes turns experience with AI into capability that can be explained, taught and tested. It starts with one person's own work and is designed to carry it on to the process and the organisation.
- FIG. 01
- The AI Maturity Cube.
- SHOWS
- It shows where a practice lives — with a person, in a process, or in an organisation — across seven dimensions of working with AI, at five levels. The terracotta line marks the articulation threshold: the point where a habit becomes a method that can be explained.
- SCALE
- 7 × 5 × 3 — 105 states in all.
- DRAWN ON
- NestVM, assembled by CoAgnes.
- ISSUED BY
- CoAgnes, 2026.

Where to start
Three ways in
A personal tool, a study space, and a frame for organisations.
How it works
A study, not a chat
A good answer in a chat leaves no record of how it was reached — nothing another person can check or repeat. CoAgnes keeps the record.
01
Open a study
A study opens with what is to be understood. The questions it has to answer are laid out before any answer is sought.
02
Delegate under a brief
A part of the work is handed to a model with a written brief and a budget. What comes back is a candidate, never a fact.
03
Review and accept
The author accepts, corrects or refuses. Only what has been accepted counts, and the record names who accepted it.
04
Keep the document
Accepted findings are gathered into a sheet that carries its own history: every line traceable to the steps behind it.
FIG. 02 — ONE STUDY, FOUR MOVES; EVERY MOVE IS RECORDED
A real sheet, read mark by mark, is on the page of CoAgnes Atelier.
Tested · for a person, a process, an organisation
Assess: the cube takes its colours
An adaptive walk rooted in the model's own logic: every dimension starts at the articulation threshold, moves up on evidence and down on its absence. Answers tint the cube as they are given. The result is a profile of words with law checks, never a single averaged score, computed in the browser. Nothing entered leaves it.
A SAMPLE PROFILE · NOT A RESULT
E — Employee
P — Process
O — Organisation

Stage honesty
What is open, what is announced
Everything here is labelled by its stage, so that nothing announced reads as available.
Open today
- CoAgnes Lab — a research preview: the book How the Machine Thinks, the Nest Runtime Specification Set in sixteen volumes with reading aids, three fragments of the machine and one recorded session.
- The Algorithmic Company — the AI Maturity Cube in full, and the trace of how it was derived.
- Assess your cube — the self-assessment; it runs in the browser and nothing entered leaves it.
Announced
- CoAgnes Atelier — the personal tool. No build is published yet.

Four short readings
- The algorithm — work as a declared sequence.
- The human — judgement on the record.
- The technology — a machine that keeps the record.
- NestVM — how it was assembled.
